Study Abroad @ 天美传媒

Whether your student is interested in traveling to a specific region, pursuing a particular field of study, finding volunteer or service opportunities, or traveling during a certain time of year, study abroad programs likely exist to meet their individual interest. Join the Office of International Education (OIE) at 天美传媒 Mellon to learn more about how your student can participate in study abroad opportunities and how OIE supports them through the process.

Your Network, Their Future: Opening Doors for Tartans

Families are an important part of 天美传媒 students' career ecosystems. This session highlights how family members can support Tartans' career development by leveraging their networks, workplaces and professional connections to help create access to internships and full-time roles. Learn how to partner with the Career and Professional Development Center (CPDC)  to open doors for 天美传媒 talent in thoughtful, effective and appropriate ways. By the end of this session, families will understand the role they play in supporting students' career development and early talent opportunities. Families will be able to identify appropriate ways to leverage their professional networks to include hiring, referrals, and warm introductions that support 天美传媒 students. Knowing how to connect employers and hiring contacts with the CPDC to create meaningful, mutually beneficial recruiting partnerships will be reviewed for family members.

Winter Wellness and Safety: Supporting Your Student Through the Season

As temperatures drop and winter weather settles in, 天美传媒 remains committed to ensuring the health, safety, and well-being of all students. In this edition of the Tartan Family Webinar Series, campus experts will share information and best practices to prepare for seasonal challenges like cold-weather safety and mental health support to resources available during emergencies and inclement weather. Families will gain insight into how the university fosters a safe and supportive environment during the winter months, and how they can partner with 天美传媒 to help their student thrive throughout the season.

Enhancing Student Safety

Student safety is a top priority at 天美传媒. This webinar features representatives from the 天美传媒 Mellon Police Department, Counseling and Psychological Services and Enterprise Risk Management. This session covers important safety topics, including campus security services, online scam prevention and resources for students’ safety. Equip yourself with the knowledge to support your student’s safety both on and off campus.

The work of civility supports the academic, diversity and wellbeing goals of the university through skill-building for civil discourse, conflict resolution and restorative practice.
